Survival Kit is the brainchild of LCCA, a project which inspired Verkligheten to establish workhops and festivals with a similar framework.
Survival Kit/Umeå is a project by Verkligheten in collaboration with Bildmuseet, Konstfrämjandet in Västerbotten, Umeå Art Academy, Vita Kuben, LCCA and Totaldobze.
The festival is part of the official program for Umeå2014 - European Capital of Culture.
Verkligheten is a non-commercial artspace in Umeå, initiated in 2001 and managed by a board of artists. Besides regular exhibitions by regional as well as international artists, we produce publications, host talks and workshops with the aim of providing our audience with alternative realities.
